The ranch

Three generations on one hacienda

The park's history page says the Diaz family acquired Hacienda Carabalí in 1977, a dairy operation of about 90 cattle on 164 acres, and began renting horses on Luquillo beach in 1979; it describes three generations. The homepage says family-owned and operated and gives 600 acres, while the history page says the land grew from 164 to 510 acres, so we say only that it borders El Yunque. No owner names are published; Tripadvisor owner replies are signed by a manager, Alex D.

The park lists Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice, a Puerto Rico Tourism Company feature and a Hecho en PR certification; we have not verified these. It also runs a bar and grill and a gift shop. Reviewers name guides Andrew, Ricky, Victor and Ivan.
