16 Best Things to Do in Luquillo, Puerto Rico
Luquillo is the beach town 30 miles east of San Juan (about 45 minutes on Route 3) sitting between El Yunque, the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest system, and the calmest public beach on the island. It is where San Juan goes on Sunday and where most El Yunque and bio bay tours stop for lunch.
Everything on this list is either on the town's three beaches, up the mountain in El Yunque, or in Fajardo 15 minutes east. Tours below leave from Luquillo or pick up in San Juan; the buttons open each operator's calendar.
